Course Overview
This is one of the MOM work permit-linked safety orientation courses for the relevant industries will be transited to the WSQ System.
These mandated safety courses will equip the workers and supervisors with the essential competencies to work safely in the Process and related industries.
Course Duration
2 Days
Recommended Learning Hours (RLH)
RLH = 16 training hours + 2 assessment hours

Course Objectives
By the end of this programme, you will:
- Identify own roles and responsibilities as an employee in a construction job
- Follow safe work procedures in a construction job
- Follow safe “Work-at-Height” procedures
- Respond to fire emergencies
Entry Requirements
- Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:
- Have employment status as manual labour to carry out construction work in building and engineering construction worksites
- Be medically fit.
- Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 2
- Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills (ES) level 2
- Have good organisational skills
- Be able to follow written and oral work instructions
Assessments
To successfully complete the course, learners will need to pass the following assessments:
- Written Assessment:
Written assessments must comprise 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with the following conditions for passing: - At least 60% of questions answered correctly in each of the topic categories:
- Legislation
- General Safety
- Work-At-Height (WAH)
- Well-being
- At least one question answered correctly for each PC/UK
- At least 60% of questions answered correctly in each of the topic categories:
- Practical Assessment:
- A 1-hour hands-on assessment where learners will be evaluated on a Competent / Not Yet Competent basis.
