Course Overview
Workplace Safety and Health System is a comprehensive organisational system designed to identify and reduce workplace hazards and risks. The purpose of a WSH management system is to ensure that all workers are safe and healthy in their work environment.
This course will cover the elements of a WSH system, resources for implementation, WSH legislative requirements, types of WSH training programs, codes of practice on risk management, mandatory incident reporting requirements, list of high-risk activities requiring permit-to-work, WSH stakeholder communication protocols, organisation’s processes, policies and procedures, document management reviews, document findings of the WSH management system against set criteria, maintaining records of WSH legal documents, implementing WSH management system in compliance with regulatory requirements, overseeing site visits, inspections and compliance audits.
The topics of this course are relevant to a variety of professionals in the field of workplace safety and health, such as managers, safety officers, safety consultants and health and safety professionals. By the end of this course, learners should be able to identify potential workplace hazards and risks, implement appropriate measures to mitigate them and evaluate the effectiveness of the WSH management system.

Entry Requirements
- Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3
- GCE O Level with minimum 4 passes, or GCE N Level, or ITE Certificate
- Minimum 21 years of age
- At least 3 years of working experience, or a minimum of 3 months in the environmental services industry, or a strong interest in joining the industry
